Welcome to Week 3 on How to Save Money Conserving Water!

Now that Spring is on the way, this week's focus is on things you can do to save water Outside.

- Sweep driveways, sidewalks, and steps rather than hosing off. Probably a better workout anyway!

- Wash the car with water from a bucket, or consider using a commercial car wash that recycles water. Who doesn't love it when someone else does it?

- When using a hose, control the flow with an automatic shut-off nozzle. Ahh, the automatic shut-off nozzle is my favorite. We have one in the motorhome shower, not as fun as full blast, but look at all the water you are saving!

- Avoid purchasing recreational water toys that require a constant stream of water. Bummer, but lots of great alternatives out there!
- If you have a swimming pool, consider a new water-saving pool filter. Call me if you have a pool and it's over 80!

- Lower pool water level to reduce the amount of water splashed out. My boyfriend typically just does a cannonball to get some of the water out, this seems like a much better option!

- Use a pool cover to reduce evaporation when the pool is not being used. And they look cool too!

Stay tuned for next week's tips!
